Kian is a Theater Practice MFA student at the University of Alberta who also holds an MA in Theater Directing. Since he was born in an artistic family, he began theatre work as his main profession from the early stages of life. Besides experiences in public productions in different cities in Iran since 2000, Kian has participated in many nationwide and international festivals, as a director, actor, designer and playwright, such as the 19th Highfest Theater Festival in Armenia, the 19th Iran International University Theater, and 21st and 38th Fadjr Theater Festival in Tehran. He has also been awarded prizes in these competitions for directing, design, and playwriting.
