Lieke is a Dutch-Canadian emerging theatre artist from Calgary, in her third year of the BFA Theatre Design program at the University of Alberta. Her background in fine arts and profound love for it all her life makes designing for the stage a welcome challenge. Theatre has been such an exciting and new medium for her, and every design is a fantastic learning opportunity. The collaboration, experimentation, and fabulous artists she works with are the best motivators for her to put her best work forward. She is working hard to eventually make her way into the costuming world in film and television, and is also interested in lighting. She is currently working on Hecuba, doing set and lighting design in the Bleviss Laboratory Theatre! The show will go up in September of 2022.
